Fabrication Station equipment
Bernardo 3-in-1.
A benchtop machine that shears, folds and rolls light sheet metal. Plan the order of operations before putting material into the machine, because one operation can block another.
Before you begin
- Complete the Fabrication Station training for this machine before use.
- Inspect the sheet for damage and sharp edges.
- Mark bend lines clearly and plan the order of cuts, folds and rolls.
- Confirm that material type, thickness and width are within the marked machine capacity.
- Ask a technician about an unfamiliar setup.
Folding workflow
- Measure and mark the bend line.
- Check the intended bend direction and sequence.
- Position the material against the clamping edge.
- Clamp the sheet securely while keeping hands clear.
- Move the operating handle smoothly to form the bend.
- Release the machine and remove the sheet safely.
- Check the angle and make only the adjustment demonstrated in training.
Shearing and rolling are covered in the same training session. Use each function only as demonstrated.
Common problems
The bend is in the wrong place
Recheck the marked line, clamping edge and bend allowance before applying force.
The sheet cracks
Stop and ask about material suitability, bend radius and grain direction.
The result is inconsistent
Check that the sheet was aligned and clamped evenly. Do not exceed the machine capacity.
