Students book Fabrication Station training through SISO. Complete the required levels in order before using the relevant equipment.

Choose the relevant training

All students start with Level 1. Complete Green before Yellow, and Yellow before Purple.

Book your session

Sign in with your student credentials, find Fabrication Station, and select an available session.

Attend the session

Bring the required clothing and PPE and meet at Maker Station, room GF30 ↗, before the session starts.

Room access

Opening hours

Fabrication Station is in room GF31 ↗. During teaching weeks, workshop sessions normally run Monday 13:30–16:30 and Tuesday 09:30–12:30. Check SISO for current availability.

Equipment availability

Check before you book

Use only equipment included in the training you have completed. Ask a technician before starting an unfamiliar setup, material or process.

After training

Booking equipment

After training, use the relevant equipment during the workshop sessions listed above and follow its equipment guide. Ask the technicians if your project needs access outside these arrangements.

Fabrication Station sessions are open to students of the college. Basic metal stock and consumables are available subject to availability.

Discuss large quantities or specialist materials with the technicians before booking.
