The Fabrication Station is the college metal workshop, with hand tools, powered and pneumatic equipment and welding equipment, available after the required training.

About the station

Metal fabrication for college work

The Fabrication Station supports students making metalwork for their college work. The workshop provides hand tools, powered and pneumatic equipment, sheet-metal equipment and welding equipment for cutting, forming, joining and finishing metal.

Students progress through three training levels covering workshop safety and hand tools, powered and pneumatic equipment, and MIG welding and advanced equipment. Complete the relevant training before using equipment.

The workshop is room GF31 ↗, behind the campus church and beside the main technicians' workshop. The tall brick chimney marks the building. Training sessions meet first at the Maker Station in room GF30 ↗.
