Attend the session
Bring the files or materials requested in the listing and arrive at Maker Station, room GF30 ↗, before the session begins.

Opening hours
The Maker Station is in room GF30 ↗. The room is open during college working hours. Staff are normally available Monday to Friday between 09:30 and 16:30.
Use each machine according to its training, booking and operating requirements. Contact the Maker Station if an equipment page does not cover your situation.
Equipment availability
Check before you book
Machine setup and processes requiring staff supervision take place during staffed hours. Once trained, students may book and use the 3D scanner outside staffed hours while the room is open.
An approved 3D print that has been set up, started and checked during staffed hours may continue afterwards, including overnight, in accordance with the station procedure. Other equipment must not be started or adjusted outside its approved hours.
Equipment may be reserved or unavailable in SISO while a workshop or class is using it. This happens particularly with the laser cutter, so check availability before planning a deadline.
After training
Booking equipment
Training comes first. Complete every session in the relevant workshop route before booking a machine.
Once you have, you can book the machine through SISO and use it for your own projects within the requirements above.
Materials and eligibility
Planning your project
The Maker Station is available to college students for college work. Equipment and materials are provided for students, subject to fair use and availability.
Discuss large projects or specialist material needs with staff before booking equipment.
